Brief life history of Shree Raghavendra Swamy
Shri Gurugalu is well known for his divine power and available to all. The main Vrindavan, the abode of Shri Raghavendra Thirtha exist in Mantralayam, Adoni Taluk, Karnool District of A.P. India. However, the various mritika brindavanas are established throughout the world for doing the seva and worship of Shri Raghavendra Thirtha. It is observed that mritika brindavanas also respond equally as that of the main Brindavanas regarding his divine grace. One of the such Brindavana is established in Mumbai at Jogeshwari West in the western suburbs in 1971. This establishment ceremony was conducted and sanctified by Shri Shri 1008 Sujayeendra Thirtha in 1971. In fact this has happened through an indication of a dream sequence of a devotee. Presently this mutt is a branch of mantralayam mutt, functioning under the guidance of 1008 Shri Shri Suyateendra Thirtharu (present peethadhipati) of Raghavendra Swami Mutt, Mantralayam.
The daily Puja of all the Devatas idols and Brindavana starts in the morning as Abhisheka, Alankara(Decoration), Naivedya (Offerings), Mahamangalarathi and Thirtha Prasada as per traditions of Mantralaya main temple.
All the important festivals of the madhvas are celebrated here, with Panchaamruta Abhishekha, Alankara and Rathotsava with thirtha Prasada. They are Ugadi, Shri Rama Navami, Akshayatriteeya, Aradhana of Shri Gurugalu. Shri Jayathirtha, Shri Vijayendra Tirtha, Shri Vyasaraja and Shri Vaadiraaja, Navaratri and Deepavali, Shri Madhvanavami Shivarathri and Karthika mahotsava
A group of devotees Ashtothara Samiti has organised themselves for the functioning of various holistic activities at the temple with full co-operation of mutt at all levels.
This website shreevaartha.org is dedicated to Shri Gurugalu, Shri Vayu and finally Shri Hari. Shreevaartha will cover all the activities of mutt, Jogeshwari (West), Mumbai.
